GREEN BEAN CAKE

Joy Bauer, Today Show’s dietician said: “Just a small intake of green beans on daily basis is enough to ensure the level of protein, fiber, unsaturated fats, vitamins and important minerals.” Green bean cakes are made from some kinds of beans and other ingredients. The beans are cleaned off the husk, put in a blender with cornstarch, fresh milk, and pureed coconut milk. The mixture is sifted and added condensed milk and vanilla. Lay wax paper at the bottom of the mold then pour the mixture in. The oven is heated at 170oC for about 10 minutes, and the mold is put into the oven for about 30 minutes. The well cooked cake is beautifully yellow in color, exudes the aroma of green beans, coconut milk, butter and most prominently the condensed milk.
